EPIF (Statute for research personnel in training)
Research Personnel in Training fall within the scope of the Statute known as EPIF. This statute considers research personnel in training to be university graduates benefiting from aid programmes designed for scientific and technical training and specialisation activities through, as a minimum, the corresponding official Doctoral Programmes for Researcher Personnel in Training.

Research Personnel in Training could be in two different legal positions:
- With a grant, during the two first years of the aid.
- With a contract, once the period of the grant has finished. In this stage, the researcher will sign an employment contract with the institution to which he or she is attached. The awarding bodies can establish the administrative requirements or documents necessary in accordance with the structure of teaching adapted to the European Higher Education Area.
