The banks and savings banks open at 8am and close at 2pm, although some remain open until 3pm. Some branches open on Saturday mornings and some afternoons.
How to open a current account
Foreign residents need their passport or residence card to open a current account.
Even if you are not a resident you can open an account with your non-resident certificate issued by the police or your consulate, proof of registration with the town council and your passport or ID card.
